Research Proposal Assessors

Are you an expert in an area of battery research? Not involved in a Faraday Institution project? Can you help us shape our research portfolio?

Are you working in the field of battery research with years of technical and industrially relevant insight? Not already involved in a Faraday Institution project? Can you help us shape our research portfolio?

We are recruiting assessors to create a pool of review capability that that will be called upon to assess research proposals on a case-by-case basis. The types of applications to be reviewed will be related to our major projects, industrial sprints, seed projects, and industrial fellowships.

Assessors should have experience in at least one of the following areas:
• Battery engineering: battery management systems, thermal management systems and integration of cells into modules, packs and vehicles
• Cell and cell materials development
• Cell and/or cell materials manufacturing
Materials processing and/or manufacturing from other sectors where knowledge transfer to cell and cell materials manufacturing would be relevant
• Module and/or pack manufacturing
• General electrification of automotive vehicles
• General electrification of marine, rail, aerospace, defence and/or other non-automotive applications
• Recycling
• Reuse/Remanufacture of EV batteries
• Safety and regulation considerations for the successful commercialisation of battery technology
• Electrochemistry and electrical engineering
• Artificial Intelligence and automation
• Scaleup in an advanced manufacturing context
• Technoeconomic and lifecycle analysis.
• Modelling/Simulation of:
