14th European Symposium on Electrochemical Engineering

08/06/2026 - 11/06/2026

Electrochemical Engineering offers the possibility of using clean electricity for the manufacturing of household and industrial products, producing chemicals, energy, and pharmaceuticals, pathways to decarbonised transportation, reduce and remediate polluted environment, providing clean water addressing major sustainable development goals (SDGs) cited by the United Nations.

For Electrochemical Engineering to become truly a service to humankind many of these ideas need to be tested, verified, translated, and deployed at scale where electrochemistry has to be coupled seamlessly with engineering.

The 14th European Symposium on Electrochemical Engineering (14ESEE2026+) brings together ideas, concepts, theories with experimental discoveries, knowledge and verification, which are then translated and scaled up to real-life experiences in the field.

ESEE is the flagship Electrochemical Engineering conference of the European Federation of Chemical Engineers, bringing together leading researchers and innovators to share advances across science, technology, and societal impact.

We are delighted to announce the Call for Abstracts for the 14th European Symposium on Electrochemical Engineering (ESEE 2026), taking place 8–11 June 2026 at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. We welcome submissions for oral and poster presentations on the following themes:

  • Science & Fundamentals: Electrochemical Fundamentals, Scalable Architectures, Unusual Media
  • Processes & Applications: Processes & Applications, Systems & Components, Materials & Performance, Energy Conversion,
  • Society & Innovation: Societal Challenges, Bio/Sono/Photo Systems, Innovation & Entrepreneurship
  • Pulse Plating (dedicated European Seminarium)

Abstract submission deadline: 17 December 2025
