UK Science, Research & Innovation Digital Conference

02/03/2022, 9:30 am - 1:35 pm

The pandemic has demonstrated the vital importance of science and innovation with British researchers at the forefront of global vaccine research and critical to the UK’s economic and social recovery.

The Government has responded with a UK Research & Development Roadmap, backed by an increase of investment for research and development (R&D) of £22 billion by 2024 to 2025, committing to make the UK a science superpower.

Westminster Insight’s British Science, Research and Innovation Conference will explore how key challenges facing the R&D sector can be overcome to cement the UK’s reputation as a world-leading research industry. Including increasing levels of public and private investment, reducing bureaucracy, building a resilient workforce, encouraging greater innovation, increasing international collaboration and ensuring the impact of research benefits a greater range of people and places.

Attend to hear from experts and leading stakeholders from across Government, academia, research communities and industry about how we can revitalise our whole system of science, research and innovation to release its potential to tackle the biggest challenges our society faces. The event is being chaired by Professor Pam Thomas, CEO, Faraday Institution.

The event will be delivered live via an interactive digital platform. Network with your colleagues from the scientific and research community and take part in discussion sessions. Content will be available to replay on demand for 14 days after the event.
