UK Energy Storage Conference 2024

10/04/2024 - 12/04/2024

This year the University of Nottingham is hosting the official UK Energy Storage conference (UKES2024), from 10-12 April 2024. The conference has previously been hosted by Imperial College London, and the Universities of Birmingham, Warwick and Newcastle.

UKES provides an inclusive platform for all researchers in Energy Storage to come together to present their work, with an agenda that endeavours to include academia, industry and policy to form key collaborations for the futures of the field. Just some of the technologies covered range from (flow- and non-flow-) batteries through compressed air, liquid air, gravitational potential, CO2 liquefaction, pumped thermal and all of the synthetic fuels. Conference topics will also include market structures, policy issues, projections of future costs and performance and the “just transition” of a large workforce into this critically-important new industry.

Abstract submissions are now open for UKES 2024. You are encouraged, but not limited, to submit abstracts of papers on the main conference themes. Abstracts will be evaluated based on significance of the work in the targeting context, technical merit of investigated method(s), and novelty of the work.

All abstracts should adhere to the abstract template and be submitted by email to [email protected]

Closing date for abstract submission is 23 February 2024. Visit the event website for more info.
