Join Innovate UK online briefing session and surgery session for an overview of the Ultra Long Duration Energy Storage competition, including the scope, eligibility, timelines, application process and the types of projects that are eligible for funding. 

UKRI is working in partnership with the Faraday Institution to help shape the LDES Challenge. The Faraday Institution is acting as a technical advisor and delivery partner, building on analysis and understanding developed through the organisation’s UltraStore Transformational Challenge, which is targeting R&D in the 100+ hour discharge range, where only conceptual ideas currently exist.

The briefing will cover the competition scope, eligibility, funding available, key dates and application process. It will also explain the two competition themes: near-commercial scale up, and system innovation and low-cost pathways.
