Horizon Opportunities
With €100 million in battery calls from Horizon Europe in 2025, the Faraday Institution is helping to reconnect UK battery innovators with European battery research community.

Engaging Early: Webinar held 7 January
The Faraday Institution held a webinar on 7th January 2025 to raise the visibility of the 2025 Horizon Europe battery calls and encourage UK battery innovators to engage early with the aim of maximising the UK’s participation.
Next steps for researchers to consider on are given on slides 38-41:
- Funding and Tenders Portal
- British Academy Pump Priming Grants
- Cordis: to find European researchers already on Horizon programmes

Consider BEPA Membership
Becoming a member of BEPA (Batteries European Partnership Association) brings many advantages, including being able to shape future battery calls.
We encourage UK battery innovators – universities and industry organisations – to consider joining BEPA. Existing members can be found here.
