New research topics in four Faraday Institution energy storage projects

Apply for new research topics which will complement four major Faraday Institution application-inspired energy storage research projects.

As part of a reshaping process, the Faraday Institution is inviting short, costed proposals for new topics with tightly defined research scopes that complement the core research of the following projects: 

  • FutureCat: Next generation Li-ion cathode materials
  • CATMAT: Next generation Li-ion cathode materials
  • NEXGENNA: Na-ion batteries
  • Nextrode: Electrode manufacturing

We strongly encourage researchers not currently funded by the Faraday Institution to apply. 

Proposals will be reviewed by independent experts, with successful proposals being integrated into the overall project structure. Final grant letters will be issued by the end of February 2023.
