Apply for new research topics which will complement six major Faraday Institution application-inspired energy storage research projects.
As part of a reshaping process, the Faraday Institution will invite short, costed proposals for new topics with tightly defined research scopes that complement the core research of the following projects:
- Battery Degradation
- Multi-scale Modelling
- ReLiB, recycling and reuse of batteries
- SOLBAT, solid-state batteries
- SafeBatt, science of battery safety
- LiSTAR, lithium-sulfur batteries
Before registering, please check to see whether you meet EPSRC eligibility criteria.
Register your interest by completing this short survey by 26 August 2022 and attending an interactive briefing session on 31 August 2022 from 14:00 – 15:00 pm. More details on the scope of the individual topics will be published closer to the briefing session date. The briefing session will present the core research on each project which will continue beyond March 2023 and outline the research gaps that will form the basis of the call for proposals.
This pre-announcement will allow sufficient time for you to review the current scope of the six research projects.
We strongly encourage researchers not currently funded by the Faraday Institution to apply.
Proposals will be reviewed by independent experts, with successful proposals being integrated into the overall project structure. Final grant letters will be issued by the end of December 2022.
