Reader in Energy Materials - Newcastle University
Training and Diversity Panel Member
James is a Reader in Energy Materials in the School of Natural and Environmental Sciences at Newcastle University. His research utilises state-of-the-art modelling techniques, including density functional theory and molecular dynamics simulation and machine learning methods, to investigate ion transport and interfaces in battery materials. James has received several early-career awards, including the 2023 Harrison-Meldola Memorial Prize from the Royal Society of Chemistry.
