We are pleased to announce that Andrea Russell, Professor of Physical Electrochemistry at the University of Southampton, will join the Faraday Institution’s expert panel shortly.
Professor Russell’s research interests are mainly in the application of spectroscopic methods to study the electrode/electrolyte interface, with particular emphasis on electrocatalysts and electrode materials for batteries including metal-air systems, fuel cells and electrolysers as well as gas sensors.
Andrea’s appointment forms part of the reshaping of the expert panel following the launch of the Faraday Institution’s five new research projects in the autumn of 2019. Andrea will be associated with the CATMAT project. All nine principal investigators of the main Faraday Institution projects have also been invited to be members of the expert panel. The Faraday Institution will be continuing its efforts to appoint a further expert panel member.
